What is Mobile Notary?

A Mobile Notary comes to you! Whether you’re at home, work, or another location, we travel to meet you and notarize your documents on the spot—making the process quick, convenient, and stress-free.

How do I book a Mobile Notary appointment?

Booking is simple with ETX Notary Public:

  1. Call or text  903-309-0392 to schedule your mobile notary service anywhere in Nacogdoches County (and beyond by request).
     
  2. You’ll receive a confirmation by text or email with your appointment details and quoted price.
     
  3. Have your unexpired photo ID and documents ready for your appointment.
     

Need extras? Printing, scanning, and mailing services are available, and rates are listed in the Mobile Services Fee section below. We also offer 24/7 appointments, including jail and detention center visits, for an additional fee.

What can I expect at my appointment?

WHERE?

We’ll meet you at your chosen location—home, office, hospital, library, coffee shop, or detention facility—to verify your identity and witness your signature. 


HOW LONG?

Most appointments take 15–30 minutes, depending on the number of documents and signers.


COST?

You can review all current rates and travel fees in the Mobile Services Fee section below. Additional fees may apply for after-hours, weekend, or extended travel appointments.


PAYMENT OPTIONS

Payment is due at the time of service and I accept:

  •  Cash
  •  Zelle, Venmo, and CashApp
  • credit card with 3% fee 


In some cases, pre-payment is required, such as when you request document printing or other advance preparation services—and this will be clearly stated in your confirmation message. Please see the payment and cancellation policy below for details.

MOBILE Services fee schedule

Pick the Service Type You Need

All services delivered by ETX Notary Public include a mobile service charge, which is separate from the Texas General Notary Fees. These fees are non-statutory and set by the individual notary (not by the State of Texas).

Express Mobile Service: 9am-5pm, Mon-Fri

$25.00

Discounted rate for quick, in-town appointments. Includes up to 30 minutes of service at one of the following public locations:

  • Copy Center Nac – 2618 North Street, Nacogdoches, TX 75965
  • Nacogdoches Public Library – 1112 North Street, Nacogdoches, TX 75961

 This charge is separate from General Notary Services Fees.

Standard Mobile Service 9am-7pm, Mon-Sat

$35.00

Includes travel to your location within 10 miles of the Nacogdoches Public Library for up to 30 minutes of service. Additional mileage or service time will incur a surcharge.This charge is separate from General Notary Services Fees.

Mileage Surcharge (> 10 miles)

$2.00

Applied when the service location is more than 10 miles from the Nacogdoches Public Library. Fee is charged per mile (one way). This charge is separate from General Notary Services Fees. 

Jail / Detention Center Mobile Service

$45.00

Professional notary services for incarcerated persons at Nacogdoches County Jail include identity verification and obtaining signatures inside the facility. Original documents are promptly returned to you and never left with the inmate. Service to Angelina County Jail available for an additional travel fee.This charge is separate from General Notary Services Fees.

Late Evening Mobile Service 7-10pm

$75.00

Includes travel within 10 miles of the Nacogdoches Public Library for 30 minutes of service. Additional mileage or service time will incur a surcharge. This charge is separate from General Notary Services Fees.

Overnight Mobile Service 10pm-8am

$150.00

Includes travel within 10 miles of the Nacogdoches Public Library for 30 minutes of service. Additional mileage or service time will incur a surcharge.  This charge is separate from General Notary Services Fees.

Texas General Notary Fees

The State of Texas Government Code Ann. § 406.024 sets out the maximum fees a Notary Public may charge for Notary Public services. The fee schedule below lists each statutory notarial act available through ETX Notary Public and the state fee.

Acknowledgment with Seal and Signer

$10.00

Taking the acknowledgment or proof of any deed or other instrument in writing, including certificate and seal- FIRST SIGNER.

Acknowledgment Additional Signer

$1.00

Taking the acknowledgment or proof of any deed or other instrument in writing- EACH ADDITIONAL SIGNER.

Oath or Affirmation

$10.00

Administering an oath or affirmation with certificate and seal.

Witness to a Deposition

$10.00

Swearing a witness to a deposition, certificate, seal, and other business connected with taking the deposition

Taking a Deposition

$1.00

Taking the depositions of witnesses, for each 100 words

Notary Record Copies

$1.00

Copies of all records and papers in the Notary Public's office, for each page (Copy must be made by Notary)

Need Anything Else? Add-Ons

All Add-Ons are non-statutory and set by the individual notary, not the State of Texas.

Form I-9: Verification

$20.00

Serves as authorized agent to:

  1. Review Section 1 for completeness, accuracy, and readability.
  2. Physically examine employee-provided identification.
  3. Complete Section 2 of the Form I-9.

 Note: Unless otherwise instructed, the form is returned to the employee. 

Form I-9: Encrypted Copy of Form and ID Documents

Encrypted PDF of the completed Form I-9 and ID documents emailed securely to the employer the same day.

Non-Notarization Form Completion

$6.00

Completion of related forms that are not notarized but pertain to the notary transaction.

Extra Time Surcharge

$15.00

Applied to appointments exceeding the standard 30-minute session at the beginning of each additional 15-minute increment.

Document Package Mailing

$10.00

Delivery of completed document packages to USPS, UPS, or FedEx for customer-prepaid shipping.

Individual Document Printing (1-15 pages)

$5.00

Documents are printed upon receipt of payment. Additional pages $0.20 each.

Document Scanbacks (up to 50 pages)

$10.00

Documents are scanned, encrypted, and emailed the same day. Additional pages $0.15 each. 

Sunday Service Surcharge

$15.00

Added to the travel charge for Sunday appointments.

Witness Coordination

$25.00

If your signing requires an impartial witness and you do not have one available, we can coordinate one (or two, if needed). The fee is per witness for up to one hour, paid entirely to the witness as compensation for their time.  Note: Notaries cannot serve as both the notary and the witness on the same document.

Every closing is custom-quoted to reflect the complexity of your transaction—no one-size-fits-all pricing. Quotes are itemized and based on factors such as:

  • Number and type of signers or witnesses
  • Travel distance and document delivery method 
  • Package size, printing, and scan-back requirements
  • Any special needs, such as home equity closings, POA signers, or conference room rentals 

This ensures you receive professional, efficient, and right-sized service for your unique closing.

What's included with my loan signing package service?

Every signing appointment with ETX Notary Public includes:

  • Immediate appointment confirmation with signers
  • Pre- and post-appointment document review and preparation
  • Travel time and expenses within the quoted area
  • A dedicated signing session (approximately 1 hour or more)
  • $25,000 E&O Insurance for your protection
  • Continuing education in industry best practices
  • Hand delivery of completed documents to FedEx or UPS with same-day drop confirmation

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Payment and Pre-Payment

Payment is due at the time of service and we happily accept these forms of payment: 

  • Cash (exact change appreciated)
  • Zelle, Venmo, CashApp
  • Credit Card with 3% fee

In certain cases, pre-payment is required, such as when document printing or other advance preparation is requested. Pre-payment requirements and total quoted price will be clearly included in your confirmation message.

Cancellation Policy

  • Appointments are confirmed at the time of booking and reserved exclusively for you.
  • Cancellations made less than two (2) hours before the scheduled appointment time, or situations in which the notarization cannot be completed due to client error (such as missing ID, incomplete documents, or unavailable signer), will be billed at the full quoted rate.
  • If the appointment was pre-paid, all payments are non-refundable once confirmation is sent, whether or not the notarization is completed.
  • Clients with a history of late cancellations or no-shows may be required to pre-pay future services in full before scheduling.

My Commitment to You

Your time and documents are important, and I handle every appointment with care, accuracy, and professionalism.

  • If a notarization or service error occurs on my part, I will correct or re-perform the service at no charge.
  • If a notarization cannot be completed due to my error, you will receive a full and immediate refund.

My goal is to provide reliable, respectful service that upholds both your trust and the integrity of your documents.

A NOTE ABOUT FEES

The State of Texas Government Code §406.024 establishes the maximum fees a notary public may charge for statutory notarial acts.


The fee schedule listed above under “Texas General Notary Fees” shows each type of notarial act offered by ETX Notary Public and the corresponding state-regulated fee.


All other fees shown on this page (such as travel, printing, scanbacks, and other mobile service charges) are non-statutory and set by the individual notary, not by the State of Texas.
